He also likes an existing feature: the ability to publish Analytics results to a presentation or web page so external users can view them without needing an Analytics license. He’s excited about the new mobile app and chart types in Analytics 6.0, such as the geomap, which lets him see at a glance where each team is working and visualize the location of all facilities across the company’s service area.
Faster business results
Zoho Analytics offers other benefits as well, said Thomas Wieberneit, owner and principal analyst at aheadCRM. “What makes Zoho Analytics particularly special is the broad range of targeted user groups and the unique approach that Zoho calls ‘Decision Intelligence’: explaining a situation, for example by answering the ‘why’,” he said. “Combined with a solution recommendation, this approach can be extremely powerful and I think this is what makes Zoho unique right now. The advantage is that the information presented is translated into actionable insights much faster, and when there are recommendations, even potential actions are suggested. Add the layer of metrics and automatic analysis, and every business user can get powerful analytics without bothering IT. All of this is governed by a permission system, of course. All of this helps business users get results faster and it accelerates business.”
However, he observed: “In general, the term ‘AI-driven analytics platforms’ has become something of a tautology. (Predictive) AI has been around in analytics platforms for many years now. We simply resurrected the term ‘AI-driven’ because of the overhyped topic of generative AI. What has changed in the industry is that it is increasingly easy to query analytics using text rather than structured query languages or drag-and-drop interfaces.”
