The 8th Arab-European Youth Forum, co-organized by the Council of Europe and the League of Arab States, was held from 14 to 19 October 2024 at the International Youth City in Luxor, Egypt.
The forum – focused on “Intercultural Dialogue in the Age of Artificial Intelligence” – brought together young leaders, activists and stakeholders from Arab and European countries to engage in dialogue and discuss and debate some of the most pressing issues. most pressing issues affecting young people around the world. the regions.
Against the backdrop and rich cultural history of Luxor, young people exchanged views and opinions on critical issues affecting our contemporary world, including the climate crisis, the impact of stereotypes and prejudices on intercultural dialogue and on the importance of youth participation in decisions. -manufacturing process.
Throughout the forum, participants explored some of the key risks and opportunities associated with AI, considering its impact in the areas of education and employment, as well as the risks associated with misinformation and the importance of media education.
