Bhubaneswar: young scientists from National Informatics Center (NIC) on Monday showcased its expertise and creativity using AI-based models and simulations on the opening day of the three-day state-level workshop on e-governance.
Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja inaugurated the workshop and cited different examples of the use of AI in central and state government offices. The Chief Secretary highlighted that harnessing AI-based knowledge systems and other emerging technologies is necessary to accelerate various social welfare programmes.
He then interacted with the young scientists who participated in the AI Exhibition. He suggested ways for scientists to effectively use artificial intelligence, bring new innovations and improve their efficiency.
Odisha Chief Electoral Officer RS Gopalan also attended the workshop and shared his insights on AI, particularly focusing on political intelligence that powers generative AI security and governance .
The workshop, organized by the NIC, saw enthusiastic participation from its scientists, district IT specialists and staff.
