UPI transactions hit nearly 14 billion in June: NPCI
According to data released by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) on Monday, transactions based on the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) reached 13.89 billion in June, a significant increase of 49 per cent over the same period last year. In June, the transaction volume stood at Rs 20.07 lakh crore, which was 1.9 per cent lower than the May figure of Rs 20.45 lakh crore. However, on a year-on-year basis, the transaction volume saw a notable increase of 36 per cent.
Samsung SRI-Bangalore working on expanding Galaxy AI language
Samsung’s largest R&D center outside Korea, SRI-Bangalore, has formed an international partnership to develop AI language models for British, Indian and Australian English, as well as Thai, Vietnamese and Indonesian languages. Engineers from several Samsung research centers recently gathered in Bangalore to strengthen Galaxy’s AI capabilities specifically for Vietnamese, Thai and Indonesian languages.
Apple Intelligence Could Eventually Become a Paid Service
Apple created quite a buzz at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2024 with the announcement of Apple Intelligence. Apple calls this innovative system a “personal intelligence system” and it will be integrated into Apple’s various operating systems, promising to increase productivity, improve communication, and enhance privacy. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman said that Apple Intelligence may not remain free forever.

Realme Pad 3 spotted on IMEI website, could launch soon
Phone maker Realme introduced its first tablet, the Realme Pad, in the Indian market in 2021. Since then, the brand has expanded its lineup to include multiple tablet models and now, a new leak suggests that the third iteration of the Realme Pad lineup is expected to launch soon. While Realme hasn’t officially announced the release date, the tablet has surfaced in the IMEI database. The alleged Realme Pad 3 is expected to feature improvements over the Realme Pad 2, which is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset and has an 8,360mAh battery.
