In an exclusive interview with Will King, AI strategist and founder of MF Growth, Potomac Local News reveals the insights that will take center stage at the Stafford County Beer & Business event on February 7. The event promises a unique exploration of the integration of AI into business, offering a mix of valuable insights and networking opportunities.
King, drawing on his background in psychology and master’s degree in human factors, shared his perspectives on the transformative power of AI in the workplace and highlighted its role in marketing. King highlighted the challenges faced by small business owners who may lack professional writing skills, saying, “If you’re a small business owner, the likelihood of you being a professional writer is just very low,” King said.
A compelling example shared by King is the case of Guidebook’s Julie Jennings, where the prompt “improve it” is used to show how AI can improve existing content. “One of my favorite use cases was that of Julie Jennings. She takes an email template or a sales flyer and right in front it says ‘make it better,’ and it does,” he explained.
King looked at the broader implications of AI in the job market, addressing concerns about job displacement. King strongly opposes job cuts, saying: “The smart play is to show everyone on your team how to use AI in their jobs” and urges companies to use AI to automate repetitive tasks, allowing employees to focus on more impactful work.
Responding to skepticism from those who believe AI will not impact their roles, King points to the accelerating pace of technological advancement, saying: “The world in which robots can perform tasks like felling a tree with a Human-like dexterity is much closer than humans. think.”
King’s company, MF Growth, aims to help small businesses in and around Fredericksburg prepare for the impending AI era.
