After a year of research by a Texas State Bar working group, a first draft of recommendations on the use of artificial intelligence in law is expected to be released before the end of this fiscal year.
Joshua Weaver, the State Bar staff liaison to the Task Force for Responsible AI in the Law (TRAIL), recently provided a progress report to the Committee on Disciplinary Rules and Referendums, the joint committee of the State Bar and the Texas Supreme Court that will ultimately guide the development of any final rule on the topic.
