Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India’s largest IT services company, on Tuesday announced that it has expanded its partnership with Google Cloud to offer two new cybersecurity solutions.
The two cybersecurity solutions are TCS Managed Detection and Response (MDR) solution, powered by Google Security Operations, and TCS Secure Cloud Foundation.
The Google Security Operations platform powers the MDR solution and will enable security teams to reduce the time it takes to detect and respond to threats. It will also enable continuous security monitoring and around-the-clock response, according to a TCS statement.
The statement added that TCS Secure Cloud Foundation will leverage the capabilities of Google Cloud security solutions to strengthen security posture and cloud governance across single, multi-cloud, and hybrid cloud environments by integrating security and compliance safeguards across the DevSecOps lifecycle. It added that by leveraging artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and automation, the solution continuously monitors risks, identifies gaps, and recommends remediation actions.
“This partnership brings together the best of TCS and Google Cloud’s capabilities, contextual insights and accelerators to holistically protect enterprise customers’ digital domains, helping them become future-ready and cyber-resilient businesses,” said Ganesa Subramanian, Vice President and Global Head, Cybersecurity Business Group, TCS.
This solution helped a global bank, headquartered in Germany, automate, identify and deploy over 800 security policies at creation and runtime, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Nidhi Srivastava, Vice President and Executive Champion of Google Cloud at TCS, said, “Our deep industry knowledge, comprehensive portfolio and ability to scale on Google Cloud enable us to rapidly create value for our customers.”
TCS’s cybersecurity offerings span from consulting and implementation to managed security services: detection and response, identity and access management, attack surface management, governance, risk and compliance, privacy and data protection, digital forensics and incident response, and cloud security.
The partnership between TCS and Google Cloud spans over a decade. TCS said the new phase of the partnership will focus on leveraging Google Cloud’s AI-powered security portfolio across threat intelligence, security operations and cloud security. Subramanian said the rise of generative AI underscores the need to modernize cybersecurity and build cyber resilience.
Last month, Indian IT services firm Wipro also expanded its partnership with Google Cloud to accelerate the adoption of Google Cloud AI. As part of the partnership, Wipro said it is building new industry solutions and internal application prototypes using Gemini models, developing go-to-market programs, and integrating Gemini Code Assist.
Tech Mahindra also announced in August a collaboration with Google Cloud to accelerate the adoption of GenAI and drive digital transformation initiatives for Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M), one of India’s leading industrial conglomerates. As part of the collaboration, Tech Mahindra will leverage advanced AI and machine learning (ML) technologies to enhance various functions across M&M, including engineering, supply chain, pre-sales and post-sales services.
For the June quarter, TCS’s consolidated net profit rose 9% year-on-year to Rs 12,040 crore and revenue rose 5.4% to Rs 62,613 crore.
