SK Telecom (SKT) is set to make a significant impact at the Digital Transformation World (DTW24 Ignite) hosted by TM Forum, a global consortium involving approximately 800 telecommunications and major technology companies from approximately 110 countries. The event, which will be held in Copenhagen from June 18 to 20,
On June 16, SKT announced plans to attend the event and host a panel discussion hosted by the “Global Telco AI Alliance.” Around 250 global telecom and big tech representatives will attend the panel discussion, with CEO Ryu opening the event with a speech. Next, Jeong Seok-geun, head of global technology and AI business at SKT, and Eric Davis, head of SKT AI technology collaboration, will join the alliance members on stage for a panel discussion.
The Global Telecom AI Alliance, comprising SKT, Deutsche Telekom, e&, Singtel and SoftBank, was launched last November and continued its cooperation by agreeing to establish a joint venture at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in February this year. The alliance aims to harness AI technology to improve telecom services and drive innovation in the industry.
On the second day of DTW24 Ignite on June 19, Jeong Seok-geun will deliver a keynote speech on “Telecom Industry Innovation and AI Vision.” In his keynote speech, he will introduce SKT’s excellent AI solutions, such as TelcoLLM, AI Personalization Services, and AI Data Center (AIDC), and present the vision of an AI company that adds value to the global industrial ecosystem.
In addition, SKT will participate in the “Catalyst Project,” a global cooperation program in the telecommunications industry, which is a side event of the TM Forum. As part of the project, SKT will demonstrate a series of processes in which AI provides real tariff plan advice via an AI-based generative chat agent, and customers handle tasks such as checking and changing tariff plans.
