Samsung Electronics has announced the expansion of Galaxy AI features to a wider range of Galaxy devices via the One UI 6.1 update. Scheduled to begin rolling out in late March, this update will introduce mobile AI features to the Galaxy S23, S23 FE, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, and Tab S9 series. The initiative comes in line with the launch of the Galaxy S24 series and aims to improve the AI experience on mobile devices using both on-device and cloud-based AI technologies.

The update introduces several AI-powered features designed to improve communication, such as Chat Assist to adjust message tone and translate messages into 13 languages, Live Translate for voice and text translations during phone calls, and Interpreter for real-time text translations in live chats. .
For productivity, the integration of Galaxy AI in the Galaxy ecosystem streamlines tasks with enhanced search, note-taking and navigation features. Features like Circle to Search with Google, Note Assist, and Transcript Assist improve the efficiency of daily activities.
The update also unlocks creative potential with Generative Editing, which allows you to resize, reposition or realign objects in photos, Suggested Editing for photo enhancement, and Instant Slow Motion to generate extra frames in slow motion videos. Additionally, AI-generated wallpapers offer personalized device personalization.
