Galaxy AI: What’s New
Noticed : Samsung’s native note-taking app has been upgraded with a new transcription feature, which allows for transcription, translation, and synthesis of voice recordings within the app. These features are in addition to the existing Galaxy AI features, which offer translation, summaries, and automatic formatting.
Galaxy AI in PDF: Samsung has integrated Galaxy AI into PDF files. This feature is integrated into the Notes app. With Galaxy AI, text in PDFs can be translated and overlaid via PDF Overlay. It supports text in images and graphics.
Composer: Another feature related to the Notes app, Composer is a tool for generating text from keywords. It supports both long text generation, such as emails, and short format, such as slogans for social media posts. Additionally, Composer has a built-in option to set the tone of the text.
Sketch to image: Galaxy AI can now generate images from sketches you draw. On the Fold 6, which supports SPen, Sketch to Image lets you create graphics using a sketch or drawing saved to the Notes screen. On the Flip, you can draw on existing images and generate a new image.
Gemini App: Google Gemini is now offered as the default assistant on both foldable models.
Research circle: Google’s Circle to Search feature has been enhanced with two new features: Live Translation and Assignments. Live Translation allows users to translate on-screen text even if the texts are in multiple languages. Assignments allow users to solve math problems.
Interpreter: This product has been upgraded to support the unique form factor of foldable devices. New features added for foldable functions include talk mode and listen mode. In talk mode, you can talk to the phone which translates in real time and display the translation on the cover screen so the person on the other side understands what you are saying. Listen mode is designed for one-way translation, so you can translate in real time, which is especially useful during conferences or any other type of presentation.
Live translation: Samsung is expanding this functionality beyond its own native calling app to a selection of popular third-party apps.
Portrait studio: Samsung now offers different ways to get creative with your regular portraits. Portrait Studio has built-in styles, such as 3D Cartoon and Watercolor, to add some spice to your portrait images.
