Chandigarh: The Telemedicine Society of India, Chandigarh Chapter, in collaboration with PGI, will host Telemedicine 2024 conference, scheduled for November 28 to 30, 2024, at PGI.
The conference, titled “Virtual Healthcare and the Role of AI,” will bring together leading experts and innovators from healthcare, technology and policy to explore the transformative potential of intelligence artificial (AI) to revolutionize virtual healthcare delivery.
This event will provide a platform for in-depth discussions on the integration of AI technologies in telemedicine, digital health systems and healthcare management, offering valuable insights into how AI can improve healthcare patient care, operational efficiency and access to healthcare services in India.
Madhukar Kumar Bhagat, Joint Secretary, E-Health Section, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, will deliver the keynote address.
The conference will bring together a diverse panel of renowned clinicians, technologists and entrepreneurs from across India, who are leaders in the field of AI and healthcare innovation.

World AIDS Day at PGI
PGI Director Prof Vivek Lal on Wednesday launched the HIV/AIDS awareness activities organized by the Center of Excellence in HIV Care, in the run-up to World AIDS Day. During the day, Professor Lal handed over protein-rich nutritional supplement kits to HIV-infected people. The activities, which began on Wednesday, will continue until December 2. World AIDS Day is celebrated around the world on December 1.
