Relaunch and Perfect Corp. launch a first-of-its-kind partnership for both companies.
THE luxury Skincare brand RéVive will use generative AI to create before-and-after images that mimic the results of clinical trials of RéVive’s products. The technology used to do this, powered by Perfect Corp., mimics similar technology used in dermatologists’ and plastic surgeons’ offices to show patients potential results.
“We’ve been doing skin analysis with AI for five years, which is classic AI,” said Wayne LiuPresident and Chief Growth Officer of Perfect Corp. “This activation takes a step towards generative AI and is more predictive.”
The partnership is part of RéVive’s broader imperative to differentiate its marketing strategy, said Elana Drell-Szyfer, RéVive’s chief executive officer. “Before-and-afters have been used as a marketing technique for years,” she said. “The challenge with luxury “Brands that have already done clinical trials have a huge advantage: (low-end) brands have improved a lot and have clinical data. We have to constantly think about how we provide additional services and how we innovate.”
She acknowledged that RéVive’s marketing strategy has so far paid off. Now the brand is taking the next step.
“Some of our ads convert more than others, and before-and-afters are always part of that. The question is, how do you do them in a way that’s relevant, and how do you do them on a legacy brand that’s built its entire catalog over years?” Drell-Szyfer said.
To this end, the visuals include a wide range of models covering all skin tones and ages, the company said.
“We’ve tried to create as many before-and-afters as possible,” Drell-Szyfer continued. “From a training perspective, our sales and training teams can then pass that information along to the customer, which makes a huge difference. We create a lot of assets, and it’s another way to bring the brand’s clinical trial story to life in a more animated way.”
Finding clinical data — and adapting it Perfect body“The technology around it was paramount,” Liu said.
“We have a very strong AI team, an engine and infrastructure, and an algorithm. But without the data, the AI itself cannot exist,” Liu said. “We combined their science with our technology and came up with this enablement.”
