Artificial intelligence startup Relational AI Inc. builds on its relationship with Snowflake Inc. with the public launch of its Snowflake Native app, available now on the Snowflake Marketplace.
He promised that the new application would enable enterprise customers to extract more value from their data and improve their decision-making processes. The startup says it gives businesses a way to leverage their vast cloud-based data repositories to create intelligent applications that can observe, decide, and act on the knowledge that resides in these environments.
RelationalAI acts as a sort of “coprocessor” that lives inside Snowflake’s AI data cloud, provide knowledge and business logic closer to where the information is stored. It provides customers with a system of relational knowledge graphs within their cloud data stores, enabling them to perform graphical analytics, business rules, optimization, rule-based reasoning, and other analysis techniques AI on their data. Companies can build a “common model” for their business and centralize knowledge to better inform every decision they make.
Because it resides in the Snowflake Cloud, RelationalAI has the advantage of always being in sync with companies’ most recent data, allowing them to apply multiple AI techniques to solve business problems, the startup said. He cites use cases including fraud detection in the e-commerce and financial services industries, supply chain optimization for logistics providers, and contextual recommendations for online retailers, all of which are improved through sophisticated real-time analytics.
Early adopters of its AI coprocessor include Block Inc. Cash app, which uses RelationalAI’s offering to analyze the behavior of its customers. “RelationalAI’s knowledge graph coprocessor allows my team to see patterns, identify customer needs, and better serve our customers,” said Cristian Figueroa, head of network science and behavioral modeling at CashApp. “With RelationalAI, we can now perform these sophisticated graphical analyzes within our Snowflake environment, saving us a lot of time and money. »
By operating directly within customers’ Snowflake accounts, RelationalAI allows them to leverage their existing governance and security settings to perform AI-powered data analysis with no data egress fees.
Molham Aref, chief executive of RelationalAI, said the partnership with Snowflake means his company is at the forefront of the emerging knowledge graph coprocessor sector. “RelationalAI extends what customers can do with Snowflake’s AI Data Cloud and allows them to create new workloads where their data already resides,” he said.
The company said it intends to demonstrate the capabilities of its knowledge graph coprocessor to attendees at this week’s event. Snowflake Data Cloud Summitwhich takes place in San Francisco this week.
“Built on Snowflake Native App Framework and Snowpark Container Services, this technology enables customers to derive more value from their Snowflake data and operationalize their organization’s insights through a common model of their business,” said Prasanna Krishnan, Principal of collaboration at Snowflake.
