Qatar Airways took center stage at ITB Berlin 2024, revealing plans to significantly increase flight frequencies to 15 global destinations over the next year. The airline, recognized as the best airline in the Middle East, has announced additional flights to Berlin from this winter, demonstrating its commitment to serving key European destinations.
Doha’s Hamad International Airport, consistently voted the best airport in the Middle East, serves as the launchpad for Qatar Airways’ extensive network, which covers more than 170 destinations. The airline will notably operate flights to five destinations in Germany, with the recent addition of Hamburg and an increased frequency to Berlin, making it the only airline in the Middle East connecting five cities in Germany.
At the ITB Berlin event, Qatar Airways unveiled its cutting-edge digital innovation: MetaHuman Sama 2.0 virtual cabin crew. Representing the world’s first virtual digital human cabin crew, Sama 2.0, powered by conversational AI, delivers curated passenger experiences within the airline’s immersive platform, QVerse. The reveal was complemented by a holographic display, showcasing Sama’s in-depth knowledge of Qatar Airways operations.
Highlighting the increasing demand for air travel, Qatar Airways Group CEO Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, said:

Qatar Airways is expected to increase the frequency of its flights to Berlin from 14 to 18 weekly flights starting in winter 2024. Additionally, the airline will begin its inaugural flight to Hamburg on July 1, 2024, strengthening its commitment to European destinations.
