Pure Storage, a developer of data storage technologies and services, recently announced its participation (Hall 6, Stand C40) at GITEX 2024.
Leveraging its unique Evergreen® architecture, Pure Storage provides businesses with agility and risk reduction through a simple, energy-efficient, and consistent storage platform delivered as a service. At the event, Pure Storage will discuss how it helps customers solve challenges such as implementing technologies to support AI initiatives for long-term success.
Event showcase
Pure Storage will use this year’s GITEX to showcase several platform innovations that enable organizations to address their many data challenges. These include meeting current and future AI needs, managing exponential data growth, mitigating data loss incidents and cyber threats, and achieving sustainability goals. Recently announced solutions to address these needs include:
- Industry-first storage automation and generative AI co-pilot: In addition to integrating Pure Fusion, the company’s storage fleet management solution, into the Purity operating system, Pure Storage will introduce the first AI Copilot for storage. This allows IT teams to leverage aggregated insights from tens of thousands of arrays deployed in the field and gain first-hand knowledge of an organization’s infrastructure to simplify the complexities of storage management.
- The industry’s most comprehensive Storage-as-a-Service SLA package: With the addition of multiple advanced SLAs, including guaranteed storage performance for GPUs to support training, inference, and HPC workloads, and a cyber recovery and resiliency SLA to account for disaster recovery scenarios, Evergreen//One™ is the only truly outcome-driven STaaS offering on the market. With the industry’s highest number of concurrent SLAs, customers get the reliability, performance, and durability their business needs.
- The largest USB flash drive in the industry: Pure Storage plans to launch 150TB DirectFlash® Modules (DFM) later this year, enabling enterprises to future-proof their infrastructure investments and manage the largest datasets. Additionally, the industry’s largest USB drive will support AI at scale and help enterprises address some of AI’s biggest challenges.
Importance of the industry
As businesses increasingly embrace AI to drive innovation, streamline operations, and gain competitive advantage, traditional storage infrastructures are failing to meet the performance, scalability, and energy efficiency requirements required. In fact, according to a recent survey by Pure Storage, 98% of CIOs and IT decision makers say their IT infrastructure needs urgent improvements to create the conditions for AI success. 81% believe that AI-generated data is likely to outgrow their organization’s current data centers, underscoring the need for a robust, performant, efficient, and cyber-resilient AI infrastructure.
Today, customers also face challenges in managing and automating disparate systems. While competitors seek to solve these challenges by offering a mix of disparate products (including different operating systems, APIs, and management), Pure Storage offers a single, consolidated, consistent, and highly orchestrated platform that delivers 10x the reliability for less than half the power, space, cooling, and labor of competing solutions.
Management Perspectives
“Between the pace of technology advancements, demands for AI integration, a focus on sustainability, and managing disparate systems, it’s no wonder today’s customers are struggling to adapt. Pure Storage continues to innovate and set the industry standard for storage platforms,” said Omar Akar, Regional Vice President, CEE and META, Pure Storage. “I look forward to GITEX and the opportunity to demonstrate to customers and partners how Pure Storage’s unified data storage platform can power regional organizations’ business transformation strategies.”
