We are introducing the Analytics Tool, a new built-in feature for Claude.ai which allows Claude to write and execute JavaScript code. Claude can now process data, perform analysis and produce information in real time. The analytics tool is available to all Claude.ai users in feature overview.
Think of the analysis tool as an integrated code sandbox, where Claude can perform complex calculations, analyze data, and iterate on different ideas before sharing an answer. The ability to process information and execute code means you get more precise answers, relying on Claudius 3.5 Sonnet’s Cutting-edge coding and data skills.
Analyze and visualize data from CSV files
When you need precise, verifiable answers from data, Claude now works more like a true data analyst. Instead of relying only on abstract analysis, it can systematically process your data by cleaning, exploring and analyzing it step by step until it reaches the correct result.
Although Claude has always been able to write code, he can now run that code in Claude.ai to support all types of analysis tasks. With the analysis tool, you get answers that are not only well-argued, but also mathematically precise and reproducible.
Claude.ai’s analytics tool can extend capabilities across teams. For example:
- Marketers can download full-funnel customer interactions and Claude will surface opportunities to improve conversions.
- Sales teams can download global sales data and Claude will provide country-specific performance analysis.
- Product managers can upload customer engagement data and Claude will help inform sprint planning and development priorities.
- Engineers can download performance logs from various servers and Claude will identify areas for better resource utilization.
- Finance teams can download monthly financial data and Claude will create a financial dashboard to convey key trends and inform decision-making.
