September 20, 2024 Manila, Philippines – THE Philippine Marketing Association (PMA) is about to welcome Strategic Marketing (StratMark) Conference 2024, the country’s premier annual gathering of marketing students, educators and academic professionals, on October 8, 2024, at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila. Transformation: Marketing in the Age of AI and SustainabilityThe event will explore how artificial intelligence (AI) and sustainable practices are reshaping the marketing industry.
The one-day conference, offered in-person and live, is expected to attract up to 10,000 attendees from across Southeast Asia. StratMark 2024 will highlight the integration of AI in marketing, with discussions on its role in advancing sustainability while navigating the challenges businesses face in this evolving landscape.
The program will feature keynote speeches and panel discussions with industry leaders from the technology, policy, education, and sustainability sectors. Speakers will include Dato Eric Ku from the Asian Small Business Committee Malaysia, who will share his insights on integrating AI and sustainability into marketing strategies and business models.
In addition to the main event in Manila, StratMark 2024 will engage marketing communities across the country and will be accessible to attendees from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao through its partner universities.
Ahead of the event, PMA has forged key partnerships to strengthen its focus on sustainability and youth engagement. On September 3, PMA and Eco-Business, Asia’s largest sustainability media organization, signed an agreement to co-host the event. Present at the signing were Eco-Business Country Director Ping Manongdo and PMA officials including Director of Youth and Academic Affairs Leah Ayeng, Treasurer Cristy Oreta, Executive Vice President Mitch Ballesteros, and Vice President Marco Montes.
On September 6, PMA also formalized a partnership with the University of Santo Tomas, Global Compact Network Philippines, and the “Anak, Ikaw ay Henyo” movement. This collaboration aims to amplify the focus on sustainability and youth engagement, which are key themes of the upcoming event. Present at the signing were Dr. Antonio Etrata, UST Marketing Management Chair, Henry Tenedero, Founder of the “Anak, Ikaw ay Henyo” Movement, Edward Gacusana, Executive Director of the Global Compact Network Philippines, as well as PMA President Kathy Mercado, PMA Executive Vice President Mitch Ballesteros, StratMark President Dr. Jenn Ramos, and PMA Directors Jerry Yao and Leah Ayeng.
On September 12, PMA also announced its partnership with PCE-GoNegosyo, which will focus on the prosperity pillar of sustainable development in various educational institutions. The signing was attended by Joey Concepcion, Founder of GoNegosyo; Mina Akram, Executive Director of PCE-GoNegosyo; Paul De Guzman, Program Director of PCE-Go Negosyo; and representatives of PMA – Kathy Mercado, PMA President; Cristy Oreta, PMA Treasurer; Leah Ayeng, Director of Youth and Education; and the PJMA National Executive Council.
