OpenAI has unlocked several features like Custom GPT, Vision and Data Analytics for free users of ChatGPT after keeping them exclusive to paying users for several months now.
What happened: Earlier in January, Backed by Microsoft Corp. OpenAI launched the GPT Shop, allowing users to access GPTs suitable for different use cases, such as creating social media posts, generating images, etc. Now this feature is available for the first time to all ChatGPT users.
The ability to create custom GPTs and publish them to the store still requires users to sign up for the ChatGPT Plus subscription which costs $20 per month.
