In a recent podcast interview, Altman argued for the creation of an international agency to monitor and ensure the “reasonable security” of powerful AI systems.
Why an international agency?
Altman’s proposal for an international agency stems from his belief that the most powerful AI systems will have the potential to cause significant harm on a global scale. Laws cannot keep up with advances in AI
This conversation about regulating AI coincides with ongoing legislative efforts around the world. Why are there no real regulations for AI yet?
