Singapore – Striving to adopt comprehensive policies and procedures regarding artificial intelligence, Milk & Honey PR has launched its latest initiative focused on the complexities of ethical AI implementation.
Dubbed the AI Ethical Playbook, the document emphasizes the company’s commitment to responsibly adopting the use of technology in public relations. This then focuses on the specific use of AI within the PR industry as well as the importance of compliance and agency self-regulatory strategies.
In a company survey, 91% of current Milk & Honey PR clients say it is somewhat or extremely important for their PR agency to stay current and adopt AI tools to improve its services.
However, with data privacy and security risks identified as top concerns, the general sentiment towards AI is split between enthusiasm and cautious curiosity.
Speaking about the company’s ethical standards and commitment, Meilin Wong, Partner and CEO of Milk & Honey Singapore, said: “As an agency, we believe it is important to adopt AI responsibly. The Handbook demonstrates our commitment to the ethical integration of AI and serves as a guide to the human-centered use of AI in public relations. The Asia-Pacific region is vast and presents unique cultural, social and economic contexts.
“As brand communicators serving local and global clients in Asia, a human-led AI approach is even more essential to ensure authentic, trustworthy and culturally nuanced messaging,” concluded Wong.
