The founders of digital navigation company MapmyIndia have set up a new entity ClarityX, which will operate in the field of AI-based data analytics and consulting services, a senior company official said.
MapmyIndia and CMD co-founder Rakesh Verma, who founded the new company, revealed that MapmyIndia initially started as a data analytics company and with ClarityX, the founders want to start fresh with their vision around data analysis and related consulting services.
“In the 90s, when we started MapmyIndia, our company initially specialized in data analytics, but the navigation part has grown well.
“We are currently building ClarityX, an AI-powered data analytics and consulting company, independent of MapmyIndia, which we will provide to all businesses, including MapmyIndia as a partner,” said Verma.
Further, he said, “MapmyIndia does not hold any stake in ClarityX. »
ClarityX has started its operations in partnership with MapmyIndia.
“We see ClarityX as an Indian alternative to the big four global consulting firms,” Verma said.
Multinational accounting and consulting firms Deloitte, EY, KPMG and PwC are considered the big four accounting and professional services firms.
Based on data analytics, ClarityX will offer tailored actionable insights to enterprise clients across industries including BFSI, Retail, FMCG, Energy, E-commerce, etc.
“For MapmyIndia, which has served over 2,000 enterprise customers across multiple industry sectors since its inception, this partnership will help it upsell, cross-sell and provide higher value analytics and consulting solutions to its customers, thereby opening up more growth opportunities for the company,” Verma said.
ClarityX started operations with a team of 20 people and expects to generate a revenue of Rs 50 crore in the first year of operations, Verma said.
