SEOUL, September 4 (Korea Bizwire) – South Korean telecommunications giant KT announced on September 3 its plans to participate in IFA 2024, Europe’s largest consumer electronics and information technology trade show.
The event, which celebrates its 100th anniversary this year, will take place in Berlin, Germany, from September 6 to 10.
KT will join the exhibition alongside 10 partner companies in the “IFA Next” pavilion, a special section dedicated to future-oriented companies and startups.
South Korea was selected as the IFA Next Country of the Year, prompting KT to set up a booth under the theme of “KT Advancing to the Future with Korean Partners.”
The company selected 10 outstanding AI-focused venture capital firms to showcase “AI services in daily life.”
KT’s exhibition space is designed around its new brand campaign, “KT, Between You and the Future,” conceptualized as particles representing the myriad possibilities of South Korea’s AI and ICT industries.
The images in the exhibition were generated using AI technology.
Partner companies featured at KT’s booth include Qanda, Superb AI, Lablup, AI O2O, OneCup, VisionSpace, KLCube, mAy’I, CreativeMind, and Nexbrain.
These companies have all gained recognition for their AI-related services and products through their participation in national and international exhibitions.
To support the success of its partners, KT has collaborated with institutions such as the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea International Trade Association.
TThey plan to offer practical support programs, including investment and export consultation meetings and venture capital discussion forums.
KT will also showcase its AI-generated content for IPTV, including AI TravelView and AI Object Book, which were first introduced on its Genie TV platform.
AI TravelView creates therapeutic music content using AI-generated images and sounds of famous cities and resorts around the world. For IFA, a special edition featuring the Berlin cityscape has been prepared.
AI Object Book is an innovative reading content that combines text, images and sound.
It automatically extracts keywords from books to create images and videos, pairing them with AI-generated background music and dubbed voices to create unique content.
This solution uses KT’s complete B2B multimedia solution, Magic Platform.
The company plans to promote Korean culture through various on-site events, including calligraphy using Hangeul (the Korean alphabet) and activities featuring football symbols, reflecting KT’s role as the official sponsor of the Korean national football team.
Im Hyun-kyu, KT’s Vice President of Management Support, said, “Through the KT AICT Partner Pavilion at IFA, we will strive to create a foundation for our excellent companies to enter the global market.
“We will continue to provide systematic support and various cooperation projects to advance with Korean AICT partners in the future.”
