When it comes to the intersection of AI and people, Luther Birdzell from Dallas Krista has a lot to say. His company provides a natural language processing-based platform that helps businesses “integrate any AI into processes to improve business outcomes.” Birdzell’s expertise and knowledge recently landed him a spot on Dallas Innovates’ AI 75 inaugural listwhich debuted today.
Commenting on a recent harvard business review article titled “Your organization is not designed to work with GenAIBirdzell weighed in on the proposed “Design for Dialogue” paradigm, which suggests that technology and humans can dynamically share responsibilities.
While acknowledging the authors’ arguments, Birdzell noted a narrow focus on GenAI. “Every argument they made applies equally, if not more, to all AI technologies,” he wrote on LinkedIn. “GenAI cannot help your CFO improve the predictability of your forecasts and cash flows like traditional AI can. »
Birdzell, who has over 20 years of experience in technology products and services, also recently addressed the issue the essential role that HR will play to guide businesses through the cultural changes that AI can bring about. “The introduction of ‘AI-lite’ in the workplace to improve productivity leads to changes in corporate culture,” he noted, adding that these changes could include changes in job roles, new skill requirements and changing employee expectations.
According to Birdzell, HR leaders are the “natural stewards” to manage these transformations. “Culture eats strategy for breakfast,” he wrote, quoting management guru Peter Drucker, and adding that this idea “applies doubly to AI adoption.”
