This year’s first educational professional learning event will take place from From July 9 to 11 at the Venetian Resort in Las Vegas. InstructureCon, featuring keynote speeches from Jimmy Chin, Marie Murphy and Dr. Jordan Nguyencovers some of the most impactful trends in edtech and how to adapt to the modern learning journey. His dual career as a world-class adventure athlete and artist is unparalleled: he is as respected for his groundbreaking mountain climbing and skiing exploits as he is for his breathtaking photography and filmmaking. Chin has been a professional mountaineer and skier on The North Face Athlete Team for over 20 years and has led cutting-edge expeditions around the world. Mary C. Murphy is the Herman B Wells Professor of Psychology and Brain Sciences at Indiana University. Her award-winning career also includes developing and directing the CASBS Summer Institute on Diversity in Stanford University and found the Equity Accelerator, a research organization focused on creating more equitable learning and working environments.
Mary’s research has been featured in The New York TimesForbes, Harvard Business Review, Scientific American, and NPR. His new book, Cultures of Growth, shows how organizational mindsets can shape individual behaviors and inspire cultures of learning, innovation, and achievement.
During Tuesday’s keynote presentation, Instructure Melissa Loble will interview Murphy about how educators can shape behavior to inspire a culture of learning, innovation and achievement.
Dr. Jordan Nguyen is a leading Australian engineer, award-winning documentary presenter, inventor and author of the book “A Human’s Guide to the Future”. He also presented at InstructureCon 2023. Dr. Nguyen is committed to improving as many lives as possible and being a driving force for human and technological evolution. As the founder of social enterprise Psykinetic, he designs inclusive technologies that change the lives of people with disabilities in aged care and beyond. As a documentary presenter, he has witnessed some of the greatest advancements of our time and believes our younger generations are the changemakers of tomorrow with the potential to create solutions to the world’s greatest challenges.
Dr. Nguyen will participate in the keynote address titled “Together We Thrive – Welcome to the Education Ecosystem.” The address will feature presentations from Instructure’s CEO Steve DalyDirector of Strategy Mitch Benson and CEO of Parchment Matthew Pittinsky on Instructure’s vision to be the ecosystem that powers lifelong learning and transforms education into opportunity. On Wednesday July 12Product Manager at Instructure Shiren Vijiasingam The event will cover Instructure’s product roadmap and highlight the company’s goal of putting teachers—and their relationships with students—at the center of the learning experience. At the forefront will be the unveiling of several new AI-powered innovations to deliver more personalized and intuitive learner-teacher experiences.
