Informatica has announced a series of new native integrations with Microsoft, marking a significant step forward for enterprise cloud data management. The unveiling took place at Informatica World in Las Vegas, showcasing the company’s advancements to make AI-driven data management solutions more accessible and efficient for Azure and Microsoft Fabric customers.
The new integrations are designed to simplify the discovery, management and deployment of data management services within Informatica’s Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) platform, enabling the creation of trusted data for generative AI. Scott Guthrie, executive vice president of the Cloud + AI Group at Microsoft, said: “Our long-standing partnership with Informatica is underscored by two enduring values: customer success and the impactful business outcomes we accelerate together for them. He highlighted the potential of combining Microsoft’s data analytics capabilities with Informatica’s AI-driven IDMC platform.
By being integrated as an Azure-native ISV service, IDMC provides Azure customers with a seamless experience in discovering and deploying the platform within the Azure management console. This integration eliminates the need for customers to manage virtual machines and clusters for integration and data quality services. Additionally, customers can credit their IDMC service purchases toward their Azure consumption commitments through Azure Marketplace.
Informatica Data Quality has also been integrated as a native Microsoft Fabric application. This development will enable Fabric customers to use AI-driven profiling and data quality services to effectively manage data within OneLake. Users can resolve data quality issues without leaving the Microsoft Fabric environment, improving their AI-driven analytics and use cases.
As one of the first ISV design partners for Microsoft Fabric, Informatica has deepened its collaborations with Microsoft over the past two years to offer services such as integration, quality, profiling and market capabilities through IDMC. Informatica’s Cloud Data Access Management (CDAM) solution for Azure also allows businesses to securely share and manage access to data, ensuring compliance and customer trust. The CDAM solution includes universal, automated governance controls that protect sensitive and confidential data at a granular level.
Amit Walia, CEO of Informatica, highlighted the importance of this collaboration, saying: “Our long-standing collaboration with Microsoft has already shaped a unified, integrated and seamless experience for thousands of joint customers. As more and more companies chart their path towards impactful generative AI. , high quality, secure and governed data must be their compass.
Informatica’s solutions are already having a significant impact on managing trusted data for analytics on the Azure platform. Alice Guehennec, Sodexo Group CTO, Data and Digital, welcomed the potential of the partnership, saying: “With Informatica’s Intelligent Data Management Cloud, we have addressed the enterprise data management challenges needed to generate robust analytics via our Azure platform. deeper partnership in place, we look forward to an even more integrated experience for our data practitioners.
IDMC as an Azure native ISV service is currently in public preview and is expected to be generally available by summer. Meanwhile, Informatica Data Quality as a Fabric Native Application will be previewed this summer, and CDAM for Azure is already generally available after its initial release earlier this year.
