India is quickly becoming a global hub for artificial intelligence (AI) innovation, much of it driven by more than 2,000 startups participating in NVIDIA’s Inception program. These companies use NVIDIA’s advanced computing technology to develop AI solutions tailored to local and global markets, according to NVIDIA Blog.
Transforming industries with AI
The NVIDIA Inception program provides Indian startups with critical tools for growth, including technical training, go-to-market support, and connections with venture capitalists. The impact of the program is evident as India ranks among the top six global economies leading the adoption of generative AI. The country’s startup ecosystem has grown significantly, now numbering more than 100,000 startups, up from fewer than 500 in 2016.
Conversational AI improves rail services
Bengaluru-based CoRover.ai exemplifies the transformative power of AI. The startup’s conversational AI platform, which supports over a billion users, is integrated with the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC). Known as AskDISHA, this AI-powered chatbot handles over 150,000 queries daily, significantly improving customer service efficiency and satisfaction.
Revolutionizing sports media
VideoVerse from Mumbai is another notable startup, leveraging AI to revolutionize sports media content creation. Its AI models help quickly generate sports highlights, boosting viewer engagement across all platforms. Using CUDA libraries and NVIDIA Tensor Core GPUs, VideoVerse improves content creation workflows for major sports leagues around the world.
Drive business efficiency
Fluid AI, also based in Mumbai, offers AI-based solutions to improve business operations. By deploying generative AI chatbots and leveraging NVIDIA’s NeMo platform, Fluid AI improves customer service and sales processes, providing real-time insights and improving team productivity.
Empowering marginalized communities
Karya, a Bangalore-based platform, bridges the digital divide by enabling marginalized communities to earn income through language-based AI tasks. The platform’s efforts help create multilingual AI models, support non-English speakers, and promote inclusive technological advancements.
These initiatives highlight the central role of NVIDIA technology in driving innovation in India’s startup landscape, with implications in both local and global markets.
