“India has a large population of young, tech-savvy consumers who inspire us to innovate. Here, thousands of enterprising young people work in our R&D centers to bring cutting-edge technologies such as AI to the world. We are proud of them,” said Jong-Hee Han, Head of Samsung’s Device Experience Division, during his recent visit to the company’s flagship experience center in Mumbai, India.
During his visit, Han emphasized Samsung‘s aim is to bring artificial intelligence (AI) and hyper-connectivity to technology enthusiasts in the rapidly growing Indian market.
“AI will enable connected technologies to improve people’s daily lives while always remaining non-intrusive and in the background. With our open collaboration model, we want to bring AI and hyper-connectivity to all our consumers. India is the next big playground for AI and our Samsung BKC flagship store is an embodiment of our vision ‘AI for All’ and will showcase ‘One Samsung’,” said Han.
The store aims to showcase how Samsung’s AI innovations can deliver smarter, more intuitive experiences across the company’s range of smartphones, TVs, home appliances and other connected devices, it added.
Han emphasized that AI will enable new connected technologies to integrate seamlessly into people’s lives, always operating unobtrusively in the background. With an “open collaboration” model, Samsung wants to democratize AI and connectivity for all consumers.
This AI-driven approach was showcased at CES earlier this year when Samsung unveiled new AI features such as “Galaxy AI” for its latest Galaxy S24 series of smartphones. Han believes India’s large population of young, tech-savvy users will inspire new AI innovations.
The company is doubling its presence in the Indian market, where it has operated for over 28 years with manufacturing plants, R&D centers and a design center employing thousands of people. Han thanked Indian engineers for helping introduce cutting-edge technologies such as AI to the world.
