Businesses are increasingly turning to AI to improve and perfect their operations. According to the Forbes Advisor survey, companies are using AI in a wide range of areas. The most popular applications include customer service, with 56% of respondents using AI for this purpose, and cybersecurity and fraud management, adopted by 51% of businesses.
Other notable uses of AI are customer relationship management (46%), digital personal assistants (47%), inventory management (40%), and content production (35%). Businesses are also leveraging AI for product recommendations (33%), accounting (30%), supply chain operations (30%), recruiting and talent sourcing (26%), and audience segmentation (24%).
Businesses are using AI to improve customer experience
AI plays an important role in improving customer experience across all touchpoints. According to the Forbes Advisor survey, 73% of companies use or plan to use AI-powered chatbots for instant messaging. Additionally, 61% of businesses use AI to optimize their emails, while 55% deploy it for personalized services, such as product recommendations.
Businesses are also leveraging AI for long-form written content, such as website copy (42%) and personalized advertising (46%). AI has made inroads in phone call management, with 36% of respondents using or planning to use AI in this area, and 49% using it for text message optimization. With AI increasingly integrated into various customer interaction channels, the overall customer experience becomes more efficient and personalized.
Business process artificial intelligence is getting better
AI enables businesses to become more agile and more productive. According to the Forbes Advisor survey, AI is being used or planned to be used in various aspects of business management. A significant number of companies (53%) apply AI to improve production processes, while 51% adopt it for process automation and 52% use it for search engine optimization tasks such as keyword research.
Businesses are also leveraging AI for data aggregation (40%), idea generation (38%), and minimizing security risks (38%). Additionally, AI is used to streamline internal communications, plans, presentations and reports (46%). Businesses also use AI to write code (31%) and copy websites (29%).
