“AI could be even more important than past advancements in security, like cloud or API security,” Sekhar said.
“Everyone has used ChatGPT or the cloud. We’re a big investor in Anthropic and we’ve basically opened these models up to the public. And you can trick these models into saying things they don’t mean by injecting rapid engineering . a text that will deceive these models,” he said.
In this video interview with Information Security Media Group at RSA Conference 2024Sekhar also discussed:
- The nature of AI-specific attacks;
- How AI can streamline security operations;
- Using AI to close the talent gap.
Sekhar focuses on early-to-late-stage venture capital investments in enterprise and infrastructure, including cloud, AI/ML, DevOps, cybersecurity, and networking. Its current investments include Amberflo, ClearDATA, DataRobot, Dremio, FOSSA, Harness and InfluxData. Prior to Menlo Ventures, he was a partner at Norwest Venture Partners.
