After releasing its closely watched first-quarter earnings report, Nvidia’s stock price opened above $1,000 Thursday morning. Shares of the chipmaker climbed 11% to around $1,053 at midday. The company crossed the $1,000 threshold for the first time after-hours Wednesday evening.
