IDX Launches AI Chatbot, Promises Unique Analysis of Casino Data
Casino technology and content provider IDX Games Ltd has launched an artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot it calls “IDX X-AI Bot”, said to be capable of automating the analysis of casino gaming data and provide site managers with actionable insights into their operations in real time. .
“It relies on using a large language model to be able to analyze casino data,” said Peter Wong (pictured), managing director and chief technology officer at IDX Games, in comments to GGRAsia. The product was showcased at the Global Gaming Expo (G2E) Asia 2024 trade show in Macau.
IDX Games says the user can enter any question related to casino operations into a chat box. In a few minutes, the application would be able to give an answer.
All live gaming data generated from a casino’s slot games or table games could be processed by the AI chatbot to analyze questions such as a casino’s projected profits and turnover. casino, players’ win or loss rates and casino game retention rates, Wong said.
“The philosophy (is) that we run (the AI chatbot) on (an) open platform.” The casino data “could come from any provider” of technology, the IDX Games CEO explained.
Examples included data collected by “smart tables” using radio frequency identification (RFID) chips: such as tables manufactured by Walker Digital Table Systems LLC; or technology providers using tabletop camera systems for data collection.
“As soon as we get the data, we can generate a result,” Mr Wong said.
“We have already predefined many parameters so that the large language model understands what a valid bet type is, what a “banker” and a “player” is (for baccarat games), etc… the model is able to understand everything. these (elements of) information.
IDX Games plans to launch an “export to report” feature for the AI chatbot later this year, through which users can ask the system to automatically generate a casino data analysis report, according to Wong .
IDX Games launched in 2019, dedicated to casino technology and equipment. It is a supplier of display control systems for gaming tables and electronic table games (ETG).
The AI chatbot has the potential to replace traditional dashboard-based analytics products that display various financial statistics related to casino operations, Mr Wong suggested.
“We (already) have our own dashboard solutions (that) can display… financial data (on casino gameplay). But every customer wants different data sets,” meaning a vendor “needs to create a new dashboard for each customer,” which is “difficult” to do, Wong noted.
“Essentially, with the AI chatbot and its ability to automate data reporting, it will replace all dashboards in the future,” suggested the IDX Games CEO.
