Google revealed what it was quietly working on Tuesday during a big summer event.
CEO Sundar Pichai took the stage to kick off Google I/O, the company’s annual developer conference.
Google showed off big updates to its latest AI models, including an impressive new AI agent called “Project Astra,” as well as a look at the future of Google Search with built-in generative AI .
The latest features coming to Android were also detailed, such as Circle to Search.
The opening speech was an opportunity for Google to react after its rival, OpenAIapparently tried to steal the company’s spotlight with an event the day before, where it presented a new flagship model, GPT-4oand the improvements it brings to ChatGPT.
