Gcore to showcase CDN and AI innovations for large-scale delivery at IBC 2024
G-CoreA global provider of AI, cloud, network and security solutions, will showcase the significant benefits of its CDN and edge solutions for broadcast and live streaming at this year’s IBC. The company will also showcase new AI capabilities, including speech recognition and content moderation, designed to drive innovation in broadcast.
Gcore, an exhibitor at IBC “Content Everywhere”, serves a diverse market including sports, entertainment, media broadcast and OTT streaming services. The company’s customers benefit from Gcore’s extensive global infrastructure with over 180 points of presence, enabling seamless content delivery and efficient video distribution worldwide.
To showcase the performance and efficiency of Gcore CDN, the company will demonstrate its collaboration with a leading sports broadcaster to enhance its streaming services, improve customer experience and drive engagement.
Additionally, Anastasia Melnikova, Streaming Solutions Architect at Gcore, will participate in a panel discussion on next-generation CDN and AI infrastructure for large-scale delivery.
Gcore AI Content Moderation
Launching in July 2024, AI Content Moderation allows online service providers to automate the moderation of user-generated audio, text, and video content without requiring prior AI or ML experience. It helps improve user safety and ensure compliance with regulations such as the EU Digital Services Act and the UK Online Safety Bill.
At IBC, Gcore will demonstrate how AI content moderation uses several cutting-edge technologies, such as advanced computer vision, optical character recognition, speech recognition, and multi-model output aggregation. The company will show how these technologies come into action and begin reviewing videos or live streams within seconds of being posted.
Gcore Automatic Speech Recognition
Also on display at the Gcore booth at IBC is AI Automatic Speech Recognition (AI ASR), which will be presented to the public for the first time since its launch. This new technology uses AI to automate the transcription and translation of captions and subtitles. The service integrates seamlessly with Gcore’s workflows, enabling broadcasters, VoD providers, live streaming platforms and enterprise content owners to extend their reach to new global audiences.
By speeding up the delivery of subtitles, ASR AI is ideal for live news, real-time sports events or live TV broadcasts. It significantly improves the accessibility of content for audiences speaking different languages and people with hearing loss.
Supporting over 100 languages and with accuracy levels equal to or better than humans, AI ASR allows broadcasters to focus on quickly generating subtitles for their content, without the need to fine-tune AI models.
Alexey Petrovskikh, Head of Video Streaming at Gcore, said: “We are excited to unveil our latest innovative AI-powered solutions at IBC and showcase content delivery across our vast network. We are raising the bar on how AI can enhance streaming and live broadcast services for global businesses. IBC is the perfect opportunity to demonstrate these advancements.”
