Fetch.ai, a blockchain-based platform democratizing access to the artificial intelligence space, has launched a new innovation lab in San Francisco.
Member of the Alliance for Artificial Superintelligence announcement the Fetch.ai (FET) Innovation Lab on August 23, emphasizing that the hub will catalyze the development of AI agent solutions.
As part of its efforts to grow its presence in the industry, Fetch.ai has unveiled a $10 million annual budget to fund projects that leverage its technology stack to create AI agents.
Fetch.ai envisions real-world AI applications
Humayun Sheikh, Fetch.ai’s chief executive, said the San Francisco-based center will seek to support projects that bring real-world AI applications to users. Recipient startups will receive funding and expert mentorship, among other things.

In addition to the startup accelerator initiative, Fetch.ai has introduced an Innovator Ambassador Club and an Internship Incubator Program. The hub’s activities will include technical workshops and hackathons, with participants benefiting from experts from academia, research, and real-world solutions.
The Quest for Artificial Superintelligence
The launch of Fetch.ai’s AI Hub comes as the company’s efforts to transform the field of artificial general intelligence accelerate. It follows the unveiling of the Alliance for Artificial Superintelligence in a merger with SingularityNET and Ocean Protocol.
AGI aims to transform the application of AI to solve everyday human problems, such as climate change, healthcare and education. The merger of FET, AGIX and OCEAN into ASI is one of the steps towards this mission.
SingularityNET has $53 million has been allocated for the development of hardware designed to support AGI development. Meanwhile, Fetch.ai recently revealed a $100 million investment commitment to deploy Nvidia GPUs to boost developers.
