24 Finalists Compete for Honors at 2024 Data Impact Awards; Cloudera to Crown Winners at EVOLVE24 APAC
Today, Cloudera, the only true hybrid platform for data, analytics and AI, will host its annual Data and AI Conference, EVOLVE24 APAC, Singapore, at Marina Bay Sands. Cloudera CEO Charles Sansbury, along with other key Cloudera global executives such as Chief Revenue Officer Frank O’Dowd and Chief Strategy Officer Abhas Ricky, will be in attendance.
Sponsored by Amazon Web Services (AWS), IBM and Red Hat, this year’s conference will bring together Cloudera executives, more than 400 customers and partners, analysts and business leaders. There will also be hands-on breakout sessions and workshops, including key customer speakers from leading organizations in the financial services, telecommunications and manufacturing industries.
AI is expected to contribute $15.7 trillion to the global economy by 2030.
To maximize the potential of AI, organizations must overcome common challenges they face when accessing all of their data, including conflicting data sets, inability to manage data across multiple platforms, and data overload, as revealed in Cloudera’s State of Enterprise AI and Modern Data Architecture survey of IT leaders. The survey also highlighted that the top barriers to AI adoption are security and compliance risks, lack of training or talent to manage AI tools, and the high cost of AI tools. To address these, EVOLVE24 APAC will focus on the critical role of modern data architecture and the benefits of a true hybrid cloud environment. It will explore how this powerful combination can accelerate enterprise AI, revolutionizing the way businesses and industries extract useful, actionable insights from their data.
“The gap between companies leveraging AI and those lagging behind is widening rapidly,” said Remus Lim, Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific and Japan at Cloudera“The need for a strong data foundation has never been more evident. AI is the key to unlocking the true potential of this valuable asset, but it is only the first step. In fact, our recent survey showed that 88% of businesses are adopting AI in some way. However, organizations are looking for increased support in terms of data infrastructure and skills to operationalize their AI and access all their data so that critical insights are trusted and unbiased; only then will the truly transformative impact of AI be seen.”
This year’s Cloudera Data Impact Awards winners will also be announced at EVOLVE24 APAC. These prestigious awards recognize exceptional data-driven projects that have had significant business impact within their organizations, across industries and globally.

As enterprises invest more in generative AI applications, robust and adaptable metadata management becomes critical for data quality and compliance. Cloudera helps organizations by strengthening their metadata management with a modernized data catalog and Iceberg REST integration. Cloudera’s Iceberg REST Catalog integration and Shared Data Experience (SDX), a cloud-native, containerized experience, will improve open interoperability while addressing growing data security and governance requirements.
Cloudera Singapore is proud to have been certified by Great Place to Work in June 2024. This award is based entirely on a survey of current employees about their experience working at the organization.
