Indirapuram Public School hosted the third edition of Vigyanotsav, a two-day event themed ‘AI Innovations Unveiled’. The school’s principal, Ms. Priya John, inaugurated the event, whose speech set the tone. The programme began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by a rendition of a Sanskrit poem celebrating the wonders of science. The highlight of the gathering was an ingenious play depicting the encounter between artificial intelligence and legendary scientists like Einstein, Archimedes and Newton.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by the presence of distinguished guests including Ms. Akanksha Arora, Microsoft Innovative Education Expert and Senior Trainer, CBSE Centre of Excellence and Ms. Ria Kansal, esteemed alumnus of DPS Indirapuram and Air India Pilot. Their presence added to the prestige of the event.
The event showcased an impressive array of AI models like AI Livenotes, Bionic Arm, Iris Tracker, Space Invasion and games developed by students from Classes VI to XII. The venue was filled with excitement as the robots and humanoids interacted with the visitors, showcasing the students’ dedication to integrating technology with creativity. The science games added a fun and educational dimension to the event, capturing the imagination of all the participants.
On the second day, an inter-house science quiz brought out an exciting competitive spirit. The quiz, comprising captivating segments like ‘Connect the Theme’, ‘Take Your Pick’, ‘In the News’ and ‘Audio Visual Clips’, saw students from all five houses fiercely competing for the top prize, further igniting their passion for science. Participants from Jhelum house were declared the winners of the Vigyanotsav inter-house quiz.
