The way we consume information has changed beyond measure over the past decade – and now it’s reached a new milestone, according to New Ofcom study.
For the first time, online news sites and apps have overtaken television as the UK’s preferred source of news. 71% of UK adults use the internet as their main source of news, compared to 70% for television. Ofcom’s annual report says television has been the UK’s main source of news since the 1960s, when it overtook newspapers and radio. But that is no longer the case after a sharp decline over the past year.
