Dell Copilot+ AI PC range launched in India
Dell Technologies has partnered with Qualcomm and Microsoft to launch a new range of consumer-grade artificial intelligence (AI)-powered personal computers (PCs) in the Indian market. The devices, dubbed Copilot+ AI PCs, have been unveiled in the Indian market. The company’s latest offerings include updates to its XPS and Inspiron series, which feature Qualcomm’s cutting-edge Snapdragon X Elite and Snapdragon X Plus processors. These new models, particularly the XPS 13 and Inspiron 14 Plus, come with advanced AI features.
Apple HomePod Mini in a new blue color
Apple has unveiled a new addition to its smart speaker lineup with the introduction of the HomePod Mini in a sleek midnight shade. The latest model shares design cues with its larger counterpart, the second-generation HomePod, which debuted in the same colour palette earlier in 2023. In line with Apple’s commitment to sustainability, the speaker’s exterior is made entirely from recycled mesh fabric. The new HomePod Mini is priced at Rs 10,990 and can be booked in advance. It will hit stores on July 17 in the US, and will be available in other markets on July 31.
WhatsApp launches Favorites feature
WhatsApp, owned by Meta, on Tuesday introduced a new feature called “Favorites,” in an effort to improve the user experience. The favorites filter on WhatsApp allows users to quickly access their most important contacts and groups and streamline communication with these priority connections. The Favorites feature, which began rolling out on Tuesday, will be available to all WhatsApp users in the coming weeks, the company said.

Realme Watch S2 details leaked ahead of launch
Realme is expected to launch a new smartwatch in India soon after a two-year hiatus. The company has officially announced the launch of its upcoming wearable device, while also hinting at some of its features. This upcoming model, which is likely to be called the Realme Watch S2, is expected to be the successor to the Watch S, which debuted in late 2020. Realme has not officially revealed the specifications of the smartwatch, but it is said to launch with an AI personal assistant powered by ChatGPT.

The Assam government has taken a major step towards setting up a semiconductor plant in Morigaon district of Assam. The state government has signed an agreement with the Tata Group, granting India’s largest conglomerate a long-term lease for a large plot of land measuring over 170 acres, an ET report said. A new semiconductor manufacturing plant is set to be set up on the site of an old paper mill in Morigaon. The project, undertaken by a subsidiary of Indian conglomerate Tata, represents a substantial investment of around Rs 27,000 crore.
