The rise of deepfakes, which are fake videos so real they appear produced by humans but are actually the product of artificial intelligence, is growing in sophistication. Deepfakes are getting better as the technology behind them becomes more advanced thanks to machine learning systems. According to McAfee surveys, about three-quarters of the hundred people living in India have recently encountered such media content, and more than sixty percent of them said that artificial intelligence today makes it difficult to know whether an internet scammer cheats or not.
