University of Maryland launches new AI institute
The Interdisciplinary Artificial Intelligence Institute of Maryland (AIM) will focus on what it calls “ethical development of AI,” UMD announced last week.

“We need to start thinking about AI, not just a technology that we develop in isolation and doesn’t affect people,” he told me. “And we really need to think about its impact on people in society. »
