Cisco, a global networking and security leader, and Home Team Science and Technology Agency (HTX) today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to pilot 5G and AI technologies to strengthen Singapore’s homeland security. Mr. Chan Tsan, Managing Director of HTX, and Mr. Jonathan Davidson, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Cisco Networking, signed the MOU at a ceremony at Cisco’s global headquarters in San Jose, USA.
Cisco and HTX will collaborate on projects to enhance HTX’s 5G and AI capabilities. These projects aim to empower the local team to address the evolving threats to public safety in Singapore.
The collaboration will leverage Cisco’s 5G-as-a-Service solution to develop and test various 5G proofs of concept to enhance public safety in Singapore. The two parties will also jointly innovate in AI security operations. Cisco will work with HTX to create a customised network and security operations (AISecOps) platform that will be hosted on-premises alongside HTX’s domain data. This will enable HTX to harness the power of generative AI and identify and address advanced cyber threats with greater efficiency.
HTX is the first Singapore organisation and agency to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) under Cisco’s Country Digital Acceleration (CDA) programme.
