Apple Inc. plans to kick off its annual Worldwide Developers Conference on June 10, when the company is expected to unveil its long-awaited artificial intelligence strategy.
The iPhone maker announced the schedule on Tuesday, saying the event would run until June 14. While Apple hasn’t specified what it plans to reveal — as usual — people familiar with the matter said the presentation will focus heavily on AI.

Continuing an approach used since the start of the Covid pandemic, the conference will be hosted for free on Apple’s website and app for developers. Opening day announcements will take place in person at the company’s campus in Cupertino, California.
Apple is expected to unveil its next major software updates for the iPhone, iPad, Mac, Vision Pro headset and smartwatch – and its new AI strategy will be at the center of the planned iOS upgrade 18.
Announcing the event, Apple marketing chief Greg Joswiak said: “This is going to be absolutely amazing” – a clear nod to AI.
Apple’s artificial intelligence strategy will include a host of new, proactive features to help users in their daily lives. The company, however, has no plans to launch its own generative AI chatbot. Instead, Apple is in talks with potential partners like Google and Alphabet Inc.’s OpenAI to provide generative AI services, Bloomberg News reported.
The iOS 18 update is expected to be the most ambitious overhaul of the iPhone’s software in its history, according to people working on the upgrade. The company is also planning a minor software refresh for the Apple Watch and the first major update to the operating system running on the Vision Pro headset.
