The Asian Institute of Management (AIM) has launched the Master in Data Analytics (MDA) program, the first of its kind in the Philippines. The new offering, which will begin on August 30, 2024, aims to meet the growing demand for data professionals across various industries.
The Analytics Association of the Philippines (AAP) estimates that by 2028, the country will need 500,000 analytics professionals, particularly in the IT sector. Recognizing this need, AIM has developed an 18-month part-time hybrid program designed to equip professionals with essential data skills. The program focuses on data collection, analysis, interpretation, and visualization, combining theoretical knowledge with practical real-world applications.
“The business world is changing rapidly. Leaders who harness the power of data and AI will undoubtedly shape the future,” said Professor Corinne Burgos, Ph.D., Academic Program Director at AIM. The program allows working professionals to integrate their education with their careers, ensuring they can apply what they learn in real time.
Graduates of the MDA program are expected to become data-driven leaders who can make informed decisions and contribute to the growth of the organization. The program emphasizes not only technical skills but also business acumen, preparing students to communicate their ideas effectively.
Applications for the April 2025 intake will open soon.
