The UK’s newest self-service digital advertising solution for SMEs, OSSAhas launched, with the aim of unlocking growth for small businesses in the UK through its AI-powered advertising platform.
OSSA targets small businesses that desperately need to attract new customers but currently don’t have the time, skills or resources to advertise digitally.
The product is a one-stop shop that allows these business owners to create and publish digital campaigns with ease. It integrates OpenAI, Shutterstock, and Figma to automate the campaign creation process. It uses the social media platform’s APIs to enable media buying and reporting. OSSA’s AI model can also think strategically to guide ad content and media choices.
Fadi Khater, Co-Founder of OSSA and Founder of digital marketing agency Netizency, explained the motivation behind the creation of OSSA: “Millions of small businesses currently do not have access to advertising agencies as these agencies operate manually and mainly cater to large clients with large budgets. However, with the advent of new technologies that can handle immense scales, it is now possible for us to extend agency services to millions of small businesses.”
“OSSA was designed to democratize advertising through the integration of intelligent generative AI technology, automation, and ad science. Our goal is to support the growth of small businesses in a highly competitive and challenging economic environment. Small businesses, including restaurants, hairdressers, lawyers, florists, and accountants, are the lifeblood of our economy and our daily lives. They deserve equal access to digital advertising opportunities, just like the bigwigs at large corporations.”
The product is designed to be fast, affordable and effective. OSSA creates ads instantly, making it 100x faster than agencies. It costs between £25 and £2,000, making it 90%** cheaper than freelancers, and its campaigns perform 50% to 60% more effectively per dollar spent compared to platform benchmarks.
OSSA is already supporting a customer base across various industries since its beta launch a few weeks ago.
Johnnie Moore, small business owner and founder of Johnnie Moore Consulting, said, “OSSA has made it very easy for me to create ads that work for me, without the confusion of using ad managers on social media platforms.”
Guy Murphy, co-founder of advertising agency Wunderman Thompson and BBH, added: “Ignored by ad agencies and often overwhelmed by the complex ad management tools offered by social networks, small businesses have struggled to keep pace with digital advertising trends. However, the emergence of GenAI technology now gives them unparalleled access to ad creation without the need for deep technical expertise.
“OSSA has leveraged the power of GenAI to develop a platform with the simplest and most jargon-free user interface. It is designed to autonomously generate effective ads that are strategically published on the right channels.
“The cornerstone of OSSA’s success lies in its unique approach, which combines academic understanding of advertising effectiveness with the principles of behavioural psychology, all powered by the advanced capabilities of GenAI technology. We are excited to partner with UK small businesses on their journey to growth.”
Commenting on the launch, Tamara Ingram, OBE and former Chair of Wunderman Thompson, added: “OSSA is a brilliant adaptation of the advertising agency model for small businesses.”
Michelle Henderson, Chief Operating Officer at Tortoise Media, concluded: “OSSA is a refreshingly simple approach that makes the complex world of digital advertising more accessible. It’s exciting to see an advertising company with such a focus.”
Nicolas Roux, Global Partners Strategy & Sales at LinkedIn (and OSSA Board Member), said: “OSSA is a fantastic self-service online platform that allows small businesses to seamlessly manage and scale their advertising campaigns, from ad creation and media planning to campaign management and analytics. And most importantly, for our audience, it’s super easy to use!”
Fredrik Borestrom, Senior Vice President of IAA Global, added: “I am very pleased to see the launch of the Ossa platform as it targets the SME segment of the advertising market.”
