Mélanie Huet, President of Brand Management and Innovation, Newell Brands
Newell Brandsjust like the other GPCs, was faced with a critical moment. The company had to choose between clinging to the embers of outdated technology and facing a mountain of technology debt, or stoking the fires of innovation with modernized operations to stay ahead in a competitive market. This year, the company took the leap into innovation.
The company’s president of brand management and innovation, Mélanie Huet, tells CGT that it was an easy decision to adopt artificial intelligence as a way to overcome these obstacles in an affordable and timely manner.
Huet is responsible for overseeing global innovation for Newell’s more than 60 brands. She directly leads the core marketing function, which encompasses media, advertising, packaging, industrial design, etc., many of which have been impacted by AI, particularly in 2024.
