The pavilions of the SAHA Expo 2024 The International Exhibition of Defense, Aeronautics and Space Industries, which will be held in October, will highlight the sectors of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, which have made their mark in recent years.
SAHA Istanbul Organization, Europe’s largest industrial cluster, will organize SAHA Expo 2024, one of Turkey’s largest defense and aerospace exhibitions, from October 22 to 26.
Under the auspices of the presidency, companies and institutions from all over the world will participate in the fair. Istanbul Expo Center will host the event, showcasing the latest and new products of the defense industry.
The show, which will be held for the fourth time this year, will feature five pavilions and is expected to attract 150,000 people. Last year, the event featured pavilions dedicated to space, testing and certification, and software, but this year will feature a pavilion dedicated to cybersecurity and AI for the first time.
The pavilions of the 90,000 square meter exhibition area, where the main companies and institutions of the sector will meet, will also have a particular design.
“AI is important for the defense industry”
Murad Cakir, General Manager of SAHA Loungesaid that AI and cybersecurity are innovative areas that are on the agenda and important for the defense industry.
Stating that they are carrying out joint activities with the Defense Industry Artificial Intelligence Talent Hub and the Turkish Cybersecurity Hub, Cakir said that as a result, the idea of organizing separate pavilions for the two sectors was formed.
Highlighting that artificial intelligence and cybersecurity are among the most important fields in recent years, Mr. Cakir said: “Artificial intelligence and cybersecurity are fields in which products will be manufactured that will occupy an important place in the future of the defense industry. This is why we wanted to highlight companies operating in these fields at SAHA Expo.”
He said they will stress the importance of these issues when creating the pavilions.
“The sectoral pavilions allow exhibitors and visitors interested in a specific area to easily reach these companies,” he said. “These areas that we announce attract the attention of representatives of the sector. These pavilions, which we have created especially to support the export objectives of our SMEs, will have the opportunity to open their products to the global market through the meetings that we will organize with participants and local and foreign delegations.”
