To meet strong demand, Palm Beach State College is expanding its information technology by introducing programs in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
These new degree and certificate programs will provide students with a fast track to prepare for in-demand careers and allow working professionals to gain additional qualifications to advance in their fields.
“We are excited to announce the launch of these dynamic programs designed to meet the evolving needs of our students and the demands of the modern workforce,” said Roger Yohe, Ph.D., vice president of academic innovation and strategy.
PBSC’s Associate of Science in Applied Artificial Intelligence degree and related academic credit certificates are designed to attract much-needed new talent to the growing field of AI. Students will gain knowledge and skills in data science, machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision tools as they apply to managing AI project lifecycles.
The new associate degree in cybersecurity science is designed to meet the growing demand for cybersecurity professionals in Florida. Currently, there are more than 20,000 cybersecurity job openings in Florida, according to CyberSeek.
Founded in 1933 as Florida’s first public community college, Palm Beach State College is a vital contributor to the growth and prosperity of Palm Beach County.
