OpenAI removes “its” voice from ChatGPT
OpenAI removed a female voice named Sky from ChatGPT, which sounded far too familiar, especially to those familiar with Scarlett Johansson. Development dates back to a few months before the release of GPT-4o, when OpenAI contacted Johansson for his voice to power the AI model. However, she refused and the company ended up using a similar voice.
According to the official statement from CEO Sam Altman, “Sky’s voice is not Scarlett Johansson’s, and it was never intended to look like his. The company removed the voice, saying: “Out of respect for Ms. Johansson, we have suspended the use of Sky’s voice in our products.” We apologize to Ms. Johansson for not communicating better.

Google AI previews are everywhere
At I/O 2024, Google introduced its latest search feature, AI Overviews, powered by Gemini AI. For example, AI Previews Suggest Users to Use Non-Toxic Glue to Make Cheese Stick to Pizza, and he struggles to differentiate between puns and facts coming from platforms like Reddit. Google says: “We found that with AI insights, people used search more and were happier with their results.”
The company has also started manually removing some of these inaccurate responses. According to a report from The Verge, a Google spokesperson recently said, “AI Previews deliver high-quality insights. Most of the examples we saw were uncommon queries, and we also encountered examples that were faked or that we couldn’t reproduce. »
