The fourth edition of Tech X 2024, a major technology exhibition, is set to kick off in Kathmandu on Tuesday to showcase cutting-edge projects in artificial intelligence (AI), robotics and cybersecurity, all created by students of Softwarica College.
The six-day event will highlight robotic dogs, AI robots designed for library and airport management, and semi-automated warehouse management technologies, according to the college’s statement.
The exhibition will feature a special robot developed with an artificial intelligence system to analyze students’ password hacking attempts. The exhibition will also showcase more than 30 innovative projects, such as AI teaching robot, banking robot, tour guide robot, football robot, AI assistant for eye hospital, waiter robot and war robot.
Similarly, a major event within the exhibition will be the launch of the ‘Robot Warriors League 2024’. This league will see over 40 combat robots built by students representing different companies participating in a six-month ‘Robo Warriors League’.
“The main objective of ‘Tech X 2024’ is to highlight the recent radical changes in the IT field and discuss the role of IT students in developing essential life skills,” said Bigyan Shrestha, Chairman, Softwarica College. With free entry, the exhibition is expected to attract over 10,000 visitors.
